ALKA12™ X BEYOND THE LINE X TERRAMAR SWIMRUN RACE - HONG KONG
With the great support of Olivier Baillet from BEYOND THE LINE, ALKA12™ starts a new collaboration with TerraMar in sponsoring the next SWIM-RUN Race event scheduled on Sunday, November 11, 2018. A race of 14 km to Run & Swim and repeat as follow > 6.8km /1.2km /4.0km /1.3km /1.0km.
The team would provide a bottle of ALKA12™Mag280 to all top 3 winners of each category, as well as a massage to all finishers to regain energy and enjoy a fast recovery.
Swimrun is a new sport that originated in Sweden less than 15 years ago. The sport is growing exponentially in Europe, just like triathlon 20 years ago. It is also expanding in the US and we have seen lately a few initiatives in Oceania. In Asia, it is still a nascent sport and Hong Kong is currently ahead of the curve. In Hong Kong, the 'Who is Who' of Swimrun is, at this stage, easy to summarise :
In late 2015, BEYOND THE LINE's founder Olivier Baillet created with his friend Olivier Courret the SWIMRUNASIA Facebook page. They soon co-organized the first 'Swimrun for dummies' training events. Inspired by this, TERRAMAR launched a Swimrun series of 4 races that started in late 2017 and finished mid 2018. Now in its second season, TERRAMAR has deepened his partnership with BEYOND THE LINE who was already providing advice and organised the first race-specific training session in the first season. This year, COLTING WETSUITS has come on board with both BEYOND THE LINE and TERRAMAR to provide gear and prizes.
