ALKA12™ brand ambassador, Vlad Ixel, Australian elite runner and the overall champion of 2018 Hoka One One Lantau 2 Peaks, Vlad Ixel took the HK50 series - Hong Kong Island’s overall second place in 4:33’51. Ixel fought hard during the whole race. “It was hard, very hard. Because the first part was runnable and the second part when you already lose the strength of your legs, suddenly everywhere hurts and every step hurts so yes, it’s a very challenging course. You got that first fast 24km but if you pushed too much, then, later on, you had to pay for it. Kibolo from Kenya was very fast at the beginning and there was no way for me to keep up then I thought I would catch him at the end, but he was 20 minutes ahead at around 30km so it’s very tough,” said Ixel.

Bernard Kibolo wins The 1st place on the 50km . Met with this amazing Kenyan athlete who push himself to its limit in the last 8 km and enjoyed a fast recovery on his shaking and cramping legs.

Bernard said : This race was my first Trail Run race and was recommended by my friend who has done MSIG Singapore Action Asia 50. I am a road runner and wanted to challenge myself in this first Trail-Run race. On Pre-race, I met with the ALKA12Team and learned about this new form of sports nutrition. I was very curious, so I applied it all over on my legs 30 min prior the race. I really felt the energy into my body, I got warmer and somehow my legs were so light-weight that I was ready to fly. On race, I kept running and running and felt fully powered. I felt twice but I had no pain and no cramping, so I kept going.  I really push myself to my limits in the last 8 km and then I win the 1st place in 4h18min. It was a hard race and felt so broken that could not even walk anymore. On post race, I was lucky to enjoy another round of Magnesium gel massages and a super fast recovery on my shaking and cramping legs.  I don’t believe how powerful is ALKA12™. I could not stand up for the past 30 min but right after the application, I was back on my foot and could walk again. it’s magic.

James Park wins 1st place of the 24km - Hong Kong resident from New Zealand, James Park grabbed the 24km overall champion title in 2 hours 1 minute and 38 seconds. “The race is very well marked and I’m very happy with the result. Andrew Mcgirr and I had a great race, back and forth the whole race. Andrew was leading through the 1st checkpoint and I knew I had to climb hard to win. At the last Blacks Link climb, he was right behind me and I had to keep going. Then it’s just getting home from there,” shared Park.
